    Default Why can't we run stock gears for later GTI/Golf?

    The 1-5 gear ratios described in the ITCS for the ITB Golf are the stock ratios for the earlier cars, but the later cars had a taller 2nd from the factory. Why is the SCCA limiting us to the early box? I thought the intent was that we can only run gearing that came from the factory in the car - which both versions did.

    1. Is it correct that we should be able to run a transmission that came from the factory in the car?

    2. If so is how do we ask to have this fixed?

    Chris, submit your documentation to the comp board and ask the spec lines to be changed.
