Rabbit GTI Head Specs

Does anyone know if there is a head height spec of a 84 Rabbit GTI. The GCR allowes .025 less than service limit if there is a specification avalible. While we're on the subject of specs, can a Work Shop Manual be purchased at the dealer or any other source. If so how much can I expect to spend?

You can get a Bentley manual from JCWhitney for $35 and it's an approved factory manual.
