    Default 16v pressure plates

Has anyone had any problems with 16v pressure plates coming apart at the straps? I am on my second one in a year and it has just snapped a strap. Both times the clutch assy was installed correctly using new parts. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Eric,
Are you using the SACHS 02L plates?
I've had no trouble using this 16V pressure plate. I had trouble with the other serial number breaking for some reason. But since I switched to the 025L number, NO PROBLEMS...

Not sure which one I have. Where did you get yours from?

    Hey Eric,
I bought mine from BSI. They are the ones that turned me onto the 025L number. Apparently there is a difference. I haven't had one trouble with this one yet.
    Hope this helps you out.

Thanks for the info. When I try to get this one covered under warranty, I will see if they can send me a 025L version instead. If not, I may just go ahead and get a 6 puck clutch kit from BSI.

I wonder if it makes a difference that I have a 2.0l 16v in my car.
