    Default Modifying Air Intake

ITC - D.1.6c in the GCR says- Air cleaner assemblies may be modified... Air intake hoses, tubes, pipes, housings... may be removed or subsituted. So, my question is can you use something like a cone filter on a modified hose/housing??? I would think yes, but wanted to ask before I alter my car, 80' fuel injected rabbit. If any one has modified there intake, whats working??? Thanks

How do you put a cone filter on a car that the air filter lays flat under the fuel distributor/air flow meter?

    air flow??? perhaps?

maybe using "cone filter" as an example was misleading, my question is what are you doing, if anything to improve air flow within the guidelines of the GCR.

The stock box is the best option.
The restriction in a Rabbit is in the last 4" of the intake manifold.

You know, Volkswagen took a lot of the fun out of building a race version of their cars. The stock airbox is adequate. The stock fuel injection will provide enough fuel for something like 160 HP. The stock ignition will handle the requirements. The stock brakes are adequate. What the heck do we get to spend our money on?

We can always get those Acura Type R stickers. I hear they are worth like 10-15hp!

    SSC wannabes.

Let us know how the decals work out. Bill what will you do with the money you make selling decals if you can't spend it on modifying your cars?
