Default Best grease for CV joints?

What is the best grease for VW CV joints? I see Swepco and Redline CV-2 for $8.50 for 14oz. cartridges. I've used Lubro Moly before, in smaller quantities - I think one tube was good for each joint. Is this good enough for use on the track? The Redline says it's good for resisting 'wash away' from gear lube - the reason I lost a joint recently. Will one of these cartridges be good for 2 joints? Where do I get a grease gun?

    Thanks,
    PJ

We use Amsoil H.D. race grease and it works
great, reasonably priced too. Also built a greaser to put it in the wheel bearings and this probally quadrupled their life span.

    PJ,

I use Castrol Syntec and have had good luck w/ it (got a case for free). You can get a grease gun at any auto parts store, or probably Walmart. I'd suggest getting one w/ a flexible hose.

The best CV joint greae is made by a company called SuperBoot. It is used by a lot of Pro teams. It has great heat tolorance, and is impossible to wipe off anything. It solved some serious CV prolems I had with a team I worked for. Our CV maintenance went from replacement every race to visual inspection every couple of weekends.
