    Default Lighter Batteries?

    What is the smallest, lightest battery that I can use in my 84 Rabbit GTI? Needless to say, it has to be legal. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

    Glenn,

    The ITCS says "Any battery of the same type, size, and voltage as the original may be used, provided it is fitted in the standard location."

    For our cars, that pretty much means a Type 41 or a Type 42 battery. They all weigh about the same.
