Drivers School

I am considering attending a double drivers scholl in the spring. Are there other advanatges or disadvantages other than getting this part of the drivers license over.

How intense will the driving become or will it be geared more towards saftey.

The car I am using is very well sorted out and ready to drive, How important is it to have a skilled mechanic with me other than myself.

Any tips or bits of information to prepare me for this first event will be greatly appreciated.
