Default Is there an event I can attend on the West coast in March.

I am going to be in California on vacation in the middle of March,04(12 - 25). I would like to see how the other half plays. I can go to any of the tracks. My wife says this vacation is to do what I want, as long as we do a movie studio tour or see a TV show.
RENT a ride, might be cool, but not neccessary.

March 13-14th at Las Vegas. VARA 35th Anniversary of FF. Their events draw more cars than the SCCA regionals out here. Even if you don't like the open wheel stuff, they get a lot of cool old cars. Gt40's, Cobras, gt350 and 500's, Can-Am cars. Besides, if the racing gets boring to watch you are right there in LostWages Nevada. The las Vegas road course doesn't offer the best spectating, but the complex is nice. Drag strip, Speedway, MX track, Bullring, all kinds of happenings. Lots of AirForce flyover activity. Track borders Nellis AFB.

From LA the closest track is California Speedway (1hr), Willow Springs (1 1/2 hrs), then Buttonwillow (2 1/2 hrs), Las Vegas (4 1/2 hrs), Laguna Seca (about 7hrs), Thunderhill (never been there probably about 8-9hrs.)

Thanks Daryl, I might take you up on your offer. I can't do ANYTHING until I get off EDD. I've been doing some "little" things on the car, but nothing major.
