    Default Update

    Hello All.

Time for my usual update . First off my ITC Civic project is going very well. Over the weeknd I got my suspension done, I have Tokico Illuminas which are 5-way adjustable and H&R springs, I know Konis and Ground Control is the way to go, but I got all of my setup for $200, and thats a pretty good deal. I also installed it all by myself, the car sits a tad bit lower, so looks are not that much different. The new head for my car will be in my hands tommorow, really this time!! The car should be started for the first time since I got it this weekend! Also a new header will be placed on and all new gaskets.

I am also planning on driving it to the ARRC this year and 'showing it off' to anyone here who wants to see my progress, especially the ones who support me, but anyone can of course come look at it. Its not much right now but its a start.

I have also worked on updating my website at Evaluand: www.simontibbett.evaluand.com, thank you Knestis, he has worked with me alot on the site and is the best at it! Check the site out, there are pics of the Civic and a new page dedicated to it!

Karting is still going on and actually next year I will be doing a bit with the Red Bull F1 Drivers Search, I talked with them quite a bit lately and will be doing a karting event and playing with the big boys in karts and possibly test a formula car, I dont know much about it yet but its seat time.

Also my grades have gone up in school lately! Not racing but hey it counts as well. I am also getting ready to go to Petit Le Mans in a few weeks, thats my highlight of the year for fun.

Well its time to go! I'll have another update soon!

    Simon,

Be sure to stop by and see us at ARRC. We may be able to help you hook those gauges up. We're about to add some Honda gauge adapters.

Interesting point about the grades, Simon. From my years coaching high school athletics, I know that a lot of students do better in school when they have other activities scheduled (like sports or racing). They have to organize their time rather than plopping on the couch with the thought of doing their homework "later."

    Keep up the good work.

    Hey,

Thanks for the words of wisdom and help. I will stop by and see you Geo. What car will you be driving, and what number, class, etc.

We'll have the red ITS 92 Sentra SE-R bringing up the rear. Well, maybe not, but I seriously doubt we'll be at the sharp end of the grid. We mainly want to just "be there" and have fun.

We're still developing the car, and of course, everyone knows it should be an ITA car anyway. (actually with recent classifications into ITS and ITA I'm beginning to agree ). Hehe.

Anyway, we're looking forward to meeting you.

    Hey Simon!

Great job on the website and your forward progress! Look me up at the ARRC. I have an ITA RX-7, dark blue with green checkered flag graphics. Hopefully number 57. I'll be the guy scratching his head wondering what to do to set the car up!

I'll post a pic somewhere soon....

Any chance the car will have it's logbook by then?

I have a friend that started racing this year in a twin of that car.

Will you be racing at Summit Point? If so, you'll have someone to play with. Good luck with your project.

    Well,

I did get the head back Friday and it looks very nice. Almost like new! The car is almost back together, minus spark plugs, oil, valve cover, and a few hoses. I worked from 7:30 to 7:30 today, now I am sick of the car for the day, but I will be up bright and early tommorow to finish it. It should come to life tommorow.........hopefully
