Default SBR - Gingerman Thread - June 18/19

I thought I would start this one. Already started talking about it in the IRP thread.

So anyhow, who is going? I may be going by myself so I may need to Padock with someone. I'm going no matter what. So who's with me!

    Also, who's camping/camper'ing?

We'll be there. No camping for us. Holiday Inn Express is worth 2 seconds a lap.

I'll probably set up a 20x20 canopy, and my wife, son and daughter-in-law will probably be there. You're welcome to paddock with us.

We'll be there with the Saturn. We'll be trying to get a big group of crew, and if you paddock near the "toybox," we'll lend a hand as much as we can.

Question to someone from area 4. At the SB double Regional at Gingerman will the IT7 class be grouped or is ITA the only class for the 1st gen RX-7 ? Within the supps there is a * next to ITA*. What does that mean ?

You must have the entry too, so I don't know if I'm adding anything you don't already know. Group 5 is "ITA, ITB, ITC, Spec RX7, LC, Spec MIATA, SMT" - does Spec RX7 mean IT7?
    * is waived tech - they're looking at the A and S cars.

Marty, I would think Spec RX7 is refering to 1981 through 1985 1st gen RX-7's with the limited modifications. That's what my car was before converting to ITA/7.

Where the smell are all the 1st gen folks from area 4 ?

The Bronco Motorsports 7 got converted to EP. Seems like there might be one or two more around here, but I dont' know them. The guys from Waterford mostly stay there.

Has anyone seen any kind of an entry list for this weekend? I just kind of want to know who/what I'll be missing. I'll be in Indy at the USGP instead so it's all good.

Have fun guys and I'll see you at Mid Ohio in two weeks!

hahahahaha, no Marty, it won't. Not for another two weeks at least. Oh wait, ITA and ITS aren't together at Mid Ohio. Well, my Dad's taking the Prelude that weekend so there will still be at least one orange car out there with you.

Wow, that's moving. Anyone know if that was a new track record or not?

    Thank you for the info.

I think he qualified at a 35 something. When I talked to him Friday night he had told me that 35's were his fastest there.
