    Default Recognize this IT7/ITA car?

I'm getting ready to pick up my new racecar from a guy outside of Detroit. Anyone recognize the car and can give me any additional background on it???

Is that Scott Mackula's car? I know he had it for sale.

    Scott!
If you build custom cages for race cars for a liveing, why are you buying one with a bolt-in cage? What happen to your old car? Was the shunt not fixable? DICK

Geo... Yep it's Scotts car. I'm picking it up this weekend.

Dick... You should see the aftermarket parts list on this car. I stopped adding up the prices when it doubled the asking price. Have no fear, the current cage will be short lived. I've already got the cage worked out on paper.

The "old" car is still very much around. We're just adding to the fleet. In fact, we just did a huge upgrade on the suspension componants (camber plates, coil-overs, koni's etc). The PFM Fiat is in semi-retirement until it gets a resurection for Vintage racing, so we're adding another A car. We're still going to put quite a few hours into the new RX7, but we couldn't have found a better base car.

Scott, all I can tell you about the car is that he had it out for the dual Reg at WHRRI last year. After his practice/qualifing session there wasn't a mosquito to be found in NW Oakland County:-) He loaded up and went home after that. I presume he fixed that problem. I also presume you aren't buying it for the engine.

No I didn't, but from some of his emails he replaced that motor and has run it since with no smoke, although I am getting "the fogger" as one of the spares.

    Thanks for the info!
