Road atlanta direction

I maybe going to Road Atlanta this weekend to crew. I am coming from north through chattanooga on I-75. Is the best way to come down to Atlanta 285 and over then back up, or does anyone recomend another way form I-75 to cut across without having to go down to 285.

Well there's the scenic route- GA20 to GA369 to GA53, but the fastest way is to come down to 285 and across to 85 (80+ mph the whole way). That is, unless you hit 285 between 6am and 10am, or 4pm and 8pm on a weekday, which would be 8+ mph

We cut across one night driving a Suburban and pulling a small trailer. It wasn't much fun. Now, if you are driving a small sports car....

Otherwise, down and back is the way to do it unless it's am or pm rush hour.
