just checked the site for ccps and it says the race will be run on monday. why monday? how many of us can make it for a monday race!

I suppose because it is Memorial Day they figured the national holiday got most folks out of work. Bad assumption in many cases though.

This race has traditionaly been held on monday along with the ECR. If you only run the ECR or CCPS it saves you from sitting there all weekend. If you are just doing the SARRC races, you have the holiday "monday" to travel or spend some time with the family. Not sure if that is the intent, but that is how it has worked out in the past.

It's also a buttload of track time in one weekend. Not sure how they would fit the ECR and CCPS into a Sat/Sun double SARRC weekend.

The scheduling is handled completely by the hosting regions. The CCPS as well as SARRC and ECR make recommendations but the bottom line is its just that, a recommendation! It has been a great event in the past so everybody come out and play. The more cars the higher the payday!!

stupid me did'nt realize that it was a holiday weekend. to much time in the garage,haha.
