Default Photos from Summit MARRS 1

Just wanted those interested to know that I have photos from MARRS 1 posted on my site. Due to prior commitments, cold weather and being unprepared, I did not get to shoot all groups, but most are there.

    Enjoy.

Thanks for making sure I was pointed in the right direction, Jim.

As usual, the photos look great. My race-blowing 1st lap, not so much.

    Gregg,

I was hoping to get that second checkered shot for you and was all ready snapping away to get you leading through 5, you just didnt cooperate.

Heck of a drive back through the field though.

I bet that Volvo looked even bigger than it is when it came barreling at you when I snapped this.

It looked huge. That's why I threw the car in reverse ASAP (I think you can see the back-up lights shining in the pic above).

Rest assured, I'll get you that chance for a checker shot....and I don't intend on having to pass 35+ cars to do it.

I have some video to accompany Jim's great photos.

Here's a short clip showing how to go from 1st to Worst in one lap.

and another showing my run from the back of the pack past 35 cars on my way to finishing 7th overall.

Not many people would have the patience to sit and watch the whole field go by before pulling out onto the track!!

Nice footage Greg, thanks. Nice drive too! You committed the cardinal sin w/ a FWD car when the tail gets out, you stayed out of the gas (ask me how I know about this!). That car definately has some grunt! Looked like you were running 1:27 - 1:28 lap times. Nice line through Turn 3 BTW, and the car looks very settled going through The Chute (it sure looks less ominous w/ the berm moved way back!). Looked like you could drive the car anywhere on the track that you wanted.
