The entry form and supps are NOW online! The entries are starting to come in. Get your team together and reister soon as the newly renovated tack will have only 50 entries.

For those of us that haven't driven the track before, will there be a practice day on Friday?

    Thanks, Bill

    Dude, you've got *24 HOURS* of practice...<grin>.

Don't sweat it. For endurance races it doesn't matter where you qualify, and it doesn't matter where you are after the first, third, fifth, or one-hundredth lap. What matters is making sure you have your feces together to make it to the end of the race.

When I did the Longest Day in the early 90's I flew there never having seen the track. When I jumped in the car the first time it took about a half-dozen laps to get up to speed. It's handy to use the practice and qualifying sessions to get the general layout of the track, but you'll have plenty of time to figure it out afterwards.

The track will have an open track day on Fiday and is considering an open day on
Sunday to let the "crew" take a test session on track.
The pit lane has not been repaved, but you are not supposed to race on pit lane. The racing surface has been improved, that is where my drivers want to go fast.

The Pit lane has been paved. Access roads in the paddock are chipped and tared. Considering the amount of work these two kids of the old manager did in 1 year this is remarkable.
