The NESCCA Enduro Series should really be called the "Loosely Affilated Enduro Series". That's not meant to be a negative, but rather to explain how the whole thing works...

You probably won't see a definitive schedule for the Series until late March, after the NEDiv Roundtable. Why ? Each Region that holds an enduro as part of their Regional race weekend needs to figure out how to fit enduros into their existing race weekends in 2004, with as little chaos and disruption to the "non-enduro" racers as possible, and wow that's a really long sentence. They've also got to figure out how to make it work on the $$$ side.

Regions can "opt in" to the series, but they have the right to control their own schedules, what additional classes are included beyond those mandated by the Series rules, entry fees, etc. If the Enduro Series had tried to 'strong-arm' Regions into a prefabbed set of rules, schedules and fees, the Series would never have flown.

Be patient. You'll be pleased with the number and length of NESCCA enduros that are being planned for in 2004. I'd crank some extra dollars into the tire & brake budget this year.

The NESCCA schedule for 2004 has not been posted yet. I expect it to be mostly the same with an addition or two. Tri-region is going to try an Enduro week-end for our regional in June. Maybe a 4 hour IT NESCCA, a 3 or 2 hr SRX7 or Miata, a 2 or 3 hr SRF maybe Sports racers. What do you think?
