    Default Well......what happened???

OK, it's Sunday night, the racing is over, and I'm dying to know...(wish I ws there...)

What happened?? Who won? Who crashed? Who had great moves? What was the best race?? Did Ray Lee take his first Acura win and redeem himself?

In ITA Ray won on Saturday...... Ok Anthony won but..... My vote was for Ray, if he didn't get hit he definetly would have won! (I think Anthony is buying lots of beer for the runnoffs) But on sunday I'll admit anthony was out for a sunday drive. He had almost a half a lap on everyone else!

I heard that the ITS race was great RX7's 1 and 2 the Autotech guys did well but I think Kip and Nick just outdrove them with experience.

ITB was dominated by Scott Carlson. The canadians made the 10+ Hr tow and took home a Second on Sunday my brother with my car took a third and fourth (and I got 2 DNF's.... next race I get my car back!)

In ITC I am not sure on the names so somebody else has to fill in this part

Pretty much like Stephen said. I did redeem myself with the TUB-O-BEER and I didn't run into anybody. Sunday race was not so great for me as I ran the last 4 or 5 laps with a flat right rear tire. Can you say limp? Still managed a 4th but if we had to do another lap, tht 4th would have turned into a 14th as Brian M and a gaggle of others were very close behind. The shickane(sp)...I would rather it didn't exist....was not liking it...the slowest 'A' car probably went through there faster than I could....pffffft.
Scott H went into the T3 wall pretty hard but he's Ok. A quick visit to The Concord Hosp. for some x-rays and some dope and he is good as new. Kinda snaked his way under the tires and was abruptly halted by the concrete. OUCH!!! Possible brake failure.
Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

So Ray..."My vote was for Ray, if he didn't get hit he definetly would have won"....
what is he referring to?? Who hit you??

On the Mazda cup///well, I know Scott didn't get it, and i know I didn't, and if it changed hands that means grant is out. That leaves Dick and Dave. Well?

Was Scotts car damaged?? Did he make it back to the track??

I take it from the description that Kip was able to just get Nick...Are both doing the ARRC?
Good that the boys from the cold north made the trip!

Hey Ray I think you did pretty well this weekend considering you had warped rotors, brake pads? what brake pads you don't need stinking brake pads!,flat tires etc. As far as hitting you I think it was pretty mutual since we were trying to head for the same spot, luckily it was my right rear wheel hub and your front bumper. Thanks for nut punting me since I had no front tires at all!, Victor put on a great drive also, I think two more laps and the outcome would have been different on Sat. But as far as Sun goes, I think they should keep the shickcane forever! I love the way the course flows. What did everyone think about it? Yes I will by beer for the Runoff's. Congrats to Tim K for double ITC vics and to Jeff on the NERRC, he had the most work to do this weekend, I bet he has that engine in & out thing down pat.

i can confirm that ray. I let you by on the front straight in qualifying and was amazed how how you held me up in th chicane. i liked the chicane, it's hard to do. i guess i would like to do it once or twice a year.
dave could no make it so the cup was between grant and i, i out qualifyied him the last three races but he beat me in the race twice. sunday he had a fuel line come loose on the grid and started last. he past 12 cars to catch me and pushed me for 8 laps. he tried a bonzai pass on the last lap in three and drove into by door (minor damage). being the class act he is he waved me by up the hill, tried in six and ten but i crossed the line 7th, grant 8th.

Sorry anthony but I think everyone it turn three would side with ray. Unfourtunatly yes you both where going for the same spot its just that Ray was already there! It's ok though since your both cool with it and besides It must be hard racing with someone beside you your not used to it you had a great year so far and you definetly deserve a congrats on having the fastest ITA car. you did a fine job this year.

    ITS Sat.

RX-7's 1-2-3. Nick got in front of Kip on lap 1 and Kip couldn't catch him. 1st time ever at NHIS for the Autotechnic guys and they did a great job. I think they came in 4-5-7 on Sat.

    Sunday

I actually LED the first 4 laps with the benefit of the best start of my life. Nick, Kip, Driscoll, Henderson and Stewart all swapped around 2-3-4-5 for those laps until the connection to my MAF popped off in between 10 and 11. Watched the remaining 16 laps from NASCAR 4 inside my car

Kip and Nick got through and battled and they finished in that order about 2 car lengths apart. Pretty sure BMW's went 3-4-5 with Sabatello and MacDonald killing each other in 6th and 7th. Awesome race.

First congratulations to a all NERRC winners but especially Jeff Leone (ITC). 1 hour before gridding up, his engine was still on the pavement in the paddock. Your a great racer Jeff and a good freind, well done. See you next year, I want the "crown" back.
It was great to see all of 6 "C" cars on the track. Hoping to see this class grow again for next year. Congrats to Charles Hibbard (ITC #32), you ran well for a one weekend racer, welcome back Bob Tackman (Datsun 510), beatiful car. Drew your record is still intact (1:19.903) but we're gunning for it next year.
I'll chime in on the chicane. I liked it, espically for a double weekend. I thought it made the track more challenging. At the very least it made it different, change is good.
Looking forward to the NARRC OFFS in a few weeks.

Wow! thats the first time I've had an RX-7 in my mirrors that was actually pushing me. Nice going Dick and congrats again on winning the mazda cup. Now lets see how long you can hang on to it. Gonna be some tuff competition at the Narc offs.

There really wasn't any difficulty to the chicane. The problem was, I had never seen the thing in my life and never even knew where it was, but thanks to Dan-o for leading me around for a few laps so that I could get a clue as to how the configuration was. Lap times were within a few tenths of the top real 'A' cars so I did get better as the day went on. The chicane is really boring and it takes away the only hair raising part of the track. All it did was use up the car. Sorta like the Boot at the glen. Two thumbs down.
Once or twice a year is doable. Chicane or no chicane, I'll still show up to race.

Engines will be ready to go soon, get the credit card out! My car is seriously up for sale after the ARRC(can you say home equity loan?!) I think I want to build a CRX its easier to fit in tight places. Besides I want to see the look on Tom's face when I build the same exact car, color scheme and all like my hero Tom! And Ray how come there is no Integra cup this year? I bet Jake is spitting up his coffee right now reading this. Intgera cup? those darn Integra guys again!

You just call me or vist http://www.sbmsinc.com/race_shop.html (shameless plug) place your order and I'll have you in victory lane in no time flat. But then I will have to tap on your bumper until you too run out of tire and I scoot by you also for another victory, unless of coarse I get forced off by that pesky white rx7

You got one more shot in two weeks Tom, can you drive that car with the cane? I still have the velcro marks from the last outing on my bumper. Its funny though its never a nudge from you just the constant pressure bump drafting is fun!
