    Default NER Points

They've been on ner.org since last night but I was unable to reach this forum to tell you all.

What are the rules for the NERRC series. It looks like we only have 3 races left in the series all being at NHIS. Also are we allowed any drops?

    Doug,

If you want to send me the spreadsheet you got from T&S, I will sort it by points so people can see where they are...

I received a corrected points list from T&S and have just updated www.ner.org with the new results in both HTML and the full Excel file.

Looks like no drops are allowed and every race counts. Please tell me if I am wrong as it matters on wether or not i let Raymond use my car. If no drops are allowed I have already secured the championship in NERRC and NARRC but if drops are allowed I need to stay on my game! I really want to let Raymond try the quaffe that is in my car before he spends the 2 grand to put it in his.

    Thanks,
    Stephen

    Stephen,

In NERRC, all races count (no dropping results). In NARRC, only your best 8 count.

These rules are for last year. I had found these earlier which is what prompted me to ask how the points work and if we had any drops. At the time we had 7 races scheduled (now 6 for several groups since LR was cancled) According to these rules we count the best 7 of 8 races. So my question would be is it still best 7 of 7 or is it best 6 of 7? I'm pretty sure my question has been answered and that no drops are allowed.

    Thanks for all the info!

IIRC, the rules were changed for last year because we actually picked up an extra date. The discussion on drops was if there should be one or two, never zero.

If Bruce hasn't changed his mind (like he's never done that before), then I would expect one drop.

Then Lime Rock will count as a drop for the ITB field??? Correct...

I will be very disapointed if the rules change and it effects my brothers championship points... He has worked very hard, and has now given me his car so I can play with a faster car... Unfortunatly that means that he will be in the slower car and most likely will not place in the top 5. If he were to loose the championship because rules are not clear that would be very very disapointing.

    Raymond,

Then the clear thing to do is NOT TO SWITCH. If you guys switch, knowing there is some confusion, and it doesn't go your way - it's on you.

Why not just do your switch during a test day? The Championship is an important thing to you and others - don't take any chances.

We would like to both place in the top 3 in NARRC especially... I would need Stephens car at NHIS in order to do that, otherwise I pritty much don't have a chance... Might seem unfair to others but we look at it as a team effort, and neither car is really his or mine... We both have built them and both drive them. Not to mention unfortunatly neither of us really have the time or $$$ to spend on a test day and tires

PS: I tried calling Bruce Rodman, left a message for him to call me, Also tried calling Pat Travers, number is always busy.

I guess we will just have to wait and see...
