Interesting....does the sale signal that the opinion of the Albins is that the GT is NOT the car to have for ITB?

I wouldn't necessarily say that. But they are taking up space in the driveway, and I have been promised that some of the cars will be leaving.

Please explain why you built an A3 if you had 2 coupes and they're so competetive.

    Phil,
The simple answer is that Chris didn't want to build them when it came right down to it. The next answer is that the parts are not as available and are more expensive. The third answer is that I want them out of my driveway before the city inspector gets bored this winter.

No one can deny that they were competitive, as was our new car, and we already had Ground Control stuff for it, and lots of other support in place. And what you put in an ad is always subject to interpretation.

so here"s my situation. I now own a badly trashed, quite competetive A2. I'll need to replace the body and cage, LF and rear suspension, probably the trans case, header, possibly even the block got snapped.
I see 5 options: retire, rebuild, build an Audi, build an A3 or buy and make handcontrols for a Volvo. Chris-which is really more competetive-the Audi or the A3, and how does the A3 compare to the A3. Be honest please.

    Phil-

If you build an Audi we would be glad to help... as you have helped with our cars, I think you have noticed they don't have much motor work (a knowledgable person like yourself could tune them in very well I think) and we have them up to speed pritty well.

I think a relatively well built Audi (with a fast driver, which you have proved to be) can beat a fully developed A2, However as far as in the Northeast on the "short tracks" the cars are deffinatly at a handling disadvantage... Also the other disadvantage is that I think that the Audi does require a bit more work to keep going.

Let us know if their is anything we can do to help.

    Raymond
