Default "Factory Shop Manual" Porsche 944

I'm new to SCCA racing, not new to racing. I'm building a 944 ITS car. Reading the ITCS I saw a need a factory shop manual. I've seen a lot of different manuals for sale on ebay. What, specifically, are the inspectors looking for and where can I get one?

    I appreciate any help!

You must have the hard copy 4 book set at minimum if you have an 8 valve 944. If you have the 16 valve you'll need the book that cover it as well.

If you have an early 944, you will probably want a set of 924 manuals. The 944 manuals specifically state that they only cover that which is not covered in the 924 manuals (and the 944 of course is based upon the 924 chassis).

    Thanks!

I am in Statesville, NC. I plan on running IT, PCA and maybe Vintage(?).

Don't leave GTS Challenge/NASA off your list! http://www.gtschallenge.com

Plenty of races your way, starting with Road Atlanta in March...

Automobile Atlanta has all the manuals on CD/ROM. They're in a format that you can print from. If not, I have a copy somewhere.
Those dang manuals are $100.00 per book and you'll need at least 4 of the set.

    A little word of warning....

Currently there is no allowance for electronic copies in IT. I thought I saw another class that allowed for it, but a quick glance through the category specs didn't turn it up (doesn't mean it's not there). I know SS allows printouts or facsimilies of manuals on fiche.

Perhaps a letter to the CRB is in order here?

    http://www.autoatlanta.com/

They sell new/used Porsche parts and restored cars.

Ask for George. He's the owner. He comes across as abrupt sometimes but he's a good guy.
