    Default Choke question (in particular, Zenith Strombergs)

    Rebuilding a set of carbs for a friend, just finished one of them. Trying to decide what to do abut the chokes -- actually choke, as one is missing.

    As best I can tell, the choke does "nothing" in the nuetral, non-acuated position. When the cable is pulled, some slots line up so that additional fuel is added to the mixture, richening it.

    GCR says I can leave chokes off and I am tempted to do so so long as it won't screw anything up. It appears to me it won't but wanted to see if anyone here had any knowledge about these carbs on this point (Vaughan?).

    Jeff, I don't have the chokes on my 8 and just run the carbs rich
