    Default Opel Update

Spot (The Opel GT) is getting very close.
2 gallons of clear, over a quart of pearl, I think it came out pretty good. It may not be fast but it is pretty

Go here to check out the pics (I hope this works)

Does it remind anyone of a classic race car from the 60's?

Nice work and a good Gulf paint scheme ala GT40s and 917s.

I am doing a GT40 scheme too, or rather, I'll be painting the JH in Essex Wire racing colors they used on their GT40s. White base, wide red stripe trimmed with black edges with black highlights in the light boxes.

    Nice car you have!

Very nice! I hope you don't bend that pretty bumper...

    Best wishes for the project.

Now that is a good looking race car.

Cherokee, I hereby make you an official member of Team Oddball. We have a TR8, an AMC Spirit, a Jensen Healey in progress, and now a very cool Opel GT. Hope I get to see the car in person some day.

I do belive that an Opel GT holds the track record at NHIS in ITB.

Nice! Very sweet! Almost looks too purty to race... almost!

Thanks for the input on the car, it makes all the blood, sweat, blood, tears, blood, broken tools, did I mention the blood all worth it.

You see there is a motive behind the pretty paint, You will be so dazzled, in awe, your breath taken away from just the sight of that pretty paint job that I will just wip on by you

Got some pics of the inside? I've always loved the 20mm Hispano cannon blister on the hood of those things! Looks just like what you find on the 109 variant and other aircraft.

I have tons of pics. What are you looking for? under the hood, or the drivers area.

I will drop a note back after I get the pics up on the site. It is still pretty messy inside after the paint, still very dusty inside, give me a day or two to get it cleaned up and I will post them.
