Default Smokey Yunick is In The House

June Fastrack Court of appeals Spec Miata DQed for Ballast in a Non-complaint location. Seems the bracket for the kill switch mounting weighed up to 50 LBS. Gee Wize I thought Smokey was gone. I guess it was a little more securely mounted than necessary. The SOM where appealed as they over turned assistant chief steward. Now before anyone takes any kind of offense I just thought this was a piece of creative that the old smoke might use.

At least they didn't build the Miata 7/8 scale.

Dopes. Everybody knows that you should build 50lb. tow-eye mounts, not 50lb. kill switch mounts. You get one at each end of the car, and they keep the CG low.

Sounds like the somebody out there in SWDiv spent a little too much time out in the sun.

No one builds 5o lb. tow eyes anymore...too much polar movement. You build 50 lb. seat and belt mounts!

Then you ask your wife, "Does this seat make my a$$ look heavy?"

Now here is our Dilema. We already have enough Ballast In the Drivers seat area. I'm not signing this post.

I'm still trying to figure out where I can LOSE about 30lbs. It certainly won't be from my fat ass, I like me some beer and pizza.

I think the only way I could lose 30# of ugly fat is to chop off my head

    Not until they spot it.

And seeing as how the tech nazi that made that ruling "retired", no big deal (anymore)!
