    Default 944 Turbo

There are specific classes to race Ferraris, Vipers, Porsche 996's, and Boxsters but not one to race a 944 Turbo? I mean specific classes, not free-for-all classes like ITE or SPO.

Not sure I see the logic there.

There are no specific classes in SCCA Regional or National racing for the cars you mention as far as I know. Can you give me an example?

If you want to adopt a '944 cup' type of class in your region, you can. If you build them, AND THEY SHOW UP, your Region is sure to provide you a place to race.

944 Cup and Spec 944 are both NA series.

The only place I know of where you can race a 951 in a non-catch-all class is in PCA

George, the 944 guys (Cup? Super Cup? Spec?)were running both 931s and 951s at the NASA Hyperfest weekend, Summit Point, July 10/11 (where, by the way, I won both SE-R Cup races...racing, yay!)

GTS Challenge (www.gtschallenge.com) allows turbos (SCCA, expect I guess maybe now in Touring, does not). Not sure where you're at, but we're in the Midwest (OH/IN), VA, and SE NASA Regions.

944Cup does also have a "Super" class for 951's and 931's, and there's always of course Porsche Club (PCA, not to be confused with IT PCA's! LOL). But I think you'll find the level of competition in SCCA and NASA to be a little more rewarding than PCA...

Ah, I didn't know they added a class for turbos. Thanks for the info.
