Seat mounting clarification/confirmation

I'm working out of a 2003 GCR and want to make sure this has not changed in 2004. Current FIA rated seats are allowed to be mounted at the seat bottom only. Non-FIA rated seats must use a seat back brace that is attached to the roll cage structure. Correct?

It appears as if you're correct. However, the seat needs to be mounted per FIA specs.

You should probably get a new copy of the rules just to be sure, however.

chris is right, FIA seats must be mounted acording to the spec on the fia chart that you can get on the fia website. be sure to select english.
