Motor mounts (be gentle...)

Ok, first post here for a prospective new entrant into the world of ITS(A?) in 2005 (be kind, I don't have a GCR yet).
Are alternate motor mounts legal? Modified stock mounts? Stock mounts filled with Window Weld? :-)

Could this be used as a "Stay Rod"? Its a solid front motor mount from Techtonics.
