    Default Nice airhole

I think I messed up my car, legality-wise. I cut the crossbars out of the radiator opening of my 89 RX-7.

It was running hot, so I was messing with the ducting and for some reason I decided that if you can put an air-dam on a car, then you should be able to mess with that area of the stock piece. Without reading the rules carefully, of course.

So this is expensive to fix. Is there some way it's justifiable under the rules? (Not that it matters, but my intent was simply to keep the engine from blowing up again.)

I think you already know the answer. Sorry.

Unless I misunderstood your post, you cut the crosspieces out of the bumper skin. Can't really glue them back, out here I've seen it on plenty of ITS cars so I can understand why you may have done it. I don't know that it really helps with cooling though.

You need a new bumper skin. THe later model RX-7 (89-91) skin is hard to find, since a lot of street guys like it as it is more modern looking. It shouldn't cost more than 300..

I couldn't see how the ITCS allows that so I left mine alone.

    Good luck.
