    Default Cage legal?

Can you guys look over this cage and tell me if you see anything illegal? It's for a Spec Miata.

    I know of two things:
    1. The main hoop is welded to the interior sides.
    2. The front down tubes are welded to the existing knee/dash bar.

Both of these will be corrected.

Also, please feel free to tell me what you think of the cage in general.

    Thanks!

The extra attachment points definitely have to go.

Technically but you should not have cut the door sill to put the NASCAR bars in, unless you can show that you couldn't have done it otherwise.

I will have to check the exact wording, but typically the main hoop is put in vertically, this is a tight car however.

Unrelated to the cage, but the stock headlights will need to go back in.

After checking last night, I saw no specific requirement that the main hoop be vertical.

Why did you use the 1.75" tubing when all that is required (at 2300 pounds w/driver) is 1.5" .095 tubing, which is lighter.
