A not-so-little birdie mentioned to me that "mission accomplished" might be appropriate?
John, I've seen everything from a simple sprint car seat to a full head-restraint Recaro stuffed into a Miata. It's all about just how much work you want to do to make it work.
I've got an...
It's just you, Ty.
:D
Sorry I missed you in Topeka, but I didn't get there until Thursday and you didn't leave the tech shed often enough.....

Frequently, the Bonus Race location isn't identified until the schedule for that year is solidified.
The 2009 schedule is in the works, but not solidified. And because I'm purposely not in the...
Having removed a package shelf-mounted cage from a Miata, I can attest to the fact that there's a whole bunch of metal in that area.
The thing about the AFM adjustment is that it ventures into the whole "Can you prove it - what are the factory specs" thing that permeates the Spec Miata world.
Jerry, do you have any thoughts...
Thanks, Dave. Sent my note earlier today.
Jarrod
Greg, thank you for doing the legwork on this one. As a side note, are you aware that Acrobat Reader can do a keyword search through a directory of PDF files? I happen to have one folder with all of...
A little late to the party, but I've got the M series of these: http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/chmisearph.html
I figured the price was about the same as the race shops were charging, but...
VP SR1 is one of the fuels a bunch of Spec Miata guys are running...or at least talking about. Using this fuel I saw +2.5 HP on the dyno with my '91, and that's vs. a VERY good AFM. I took the...
Earl, we promise to be good so as to not incur your wrath....but you're still welcome to stop by and say "Hi" to us clowns from the Midwest in the Integra Type-R. Pit #17.
Jarrod
Thanks, Dave.
The other Dave (Type R Rocket) got ahold of you this morning - we'll see you at the track this weekend!
Jarrod
Kirk: yep, still using the stock plugs.
Dave: transformer = that little black box.
The little transformer outputs AC, so polarity really shouldn't matter much anyway....
My gut says...
I just got done helping hook up the Elumaboards on the Acura, and we're experiencing an issue.
The boards work independently, but with both of them hooked up neither of them will light.
...
Oh, and I should add - we've also got some locals who have run with Midwest Council, NASA and SCCA and can help you compare and contrast each of them as well.

I wondered about that.....the pool starts to get pretty small when you start with the name Morgan, then narrow it to Iowa and "Plays with Cars".
Drop me a note or give me a call and I can give...
Meh, I guess he's OK.
:D
Probably won't see you in Pueblo this year, Ty....PROBABLY.
Jarrod
Hey Morgan - where do you live?

I've come across what I think is a minor glitch in the ITR rules.
How I discovered it: I'm helping out with the prep of a 1998 Integra Type R for enduro racing.
In looking at online copy of...
So in a year when my suit is officially deemed "junk" I can choose to spend $700 on a new suit and stay with SCCA or spend $700 on a new H&N restraint to replace my Isaac and race with NASA.
...
Ron, that was probably me running my mouth about the Type-R. :P
I'm familiar with one that is jointly owned by a couple of guys, one living in Midiv (Dave Volante) and one in Cendiv (Bob Roth)....
When I saw the initial Fastrack listing back in August or whatever, I remember looking at the FIA patch on my OMP suit and thinking "Well, I guess I'm OK...." when I saw the 1986 stitching. And yes,...
Agreed. If the only patch on your suit says "FiA NORME 1986/1986 STANDARD 04.257.CSAI.99" and SCCA wants to see the FIA 8856-2000 patch, you're going to have issues.
I'm in the same boat with my...
Nashville? Meh.
Road Atlanta? YES.
Glad to hear you avoided any bodily harm, Butch. :P
