Tom,
Those stock plugs are pretty soft. Have you tried tapping a slightly smaller socket onto the rounded plug? It might do it.
good luck..

Ed,
IIRC, that is the exhaust with a "step" design. (primary tubing starts at 1 1/2 inches, and steps up to 1 3/4 several inches away from the head). If so, I know that there was a lot of...
David,
Use the Hawk HT-10's for the front, unless you have upgraded to the legal ABS sized brakes. Hawk doesn't make the ht-10's in this pad, so you can use the blues instead. Follow the...
Joe,
I started with 450/300, with front and rear bars. It felt loose, but very "snappy" when it let go. AFter several different rates and alignment changes, I ended up with 550/350 and no rear...
I'll second the no rear bar. I started with a rear bar on the S13, ended up faster and more driveable without it.

its300zx,
We are still waiting for some proof of Bob's illegal engine. I'm sure David would especially like to know, since he now owns that car. The only proof offered so far has been:
"I just...
WOW...where did that come from?
Jim
You can plan to spend $12-15,000 to build a decent 240. To Duplicate Bob's car would take well over $20,000-and that is if you got everything right the first time. There is a decent starting point...
David,
I know my way around the 12 valve 240's reasonably well. If you need any info down the road, feel free to ask.

Joe,
I've never had any problems using aftermarket muffler bearings, as long as they were the proper undersize, and have the extra oiling groove. Perhaps they were not broke in properly??
All...
David,
I'm not sure what tire size you run. For long course, I'm assuming **(dangerously) a 225/55/14, you will be right at 7,100 rpm with a 3.90 rear running the same speed as my ITA 240 SX was...
Mem,
I race a 12 valve for several years. I never had the need to install the heat shield. I know several who did make one for their cars though. Have you tried to check the ECU for any codes? ...

A couple of questions on your problem. Has it ran fine before? New engine? Any engine repairs/modifications since the last time on track?
Grounds are a good place to start looking. ...
Corey,
To check the cam timing, you only need to remove the valve cover. Set the crank pulley at TDC. Be sure to use the correct mark, they are a little confusing. The dowel pin in the cam gear...
Corey,
I used the NGK Iridium BKR6IEX plugs with pretty good luck. They always looked good when I checked them.
I agree with Tristan though. I don't think being off by a heat range or even...
Chris,
If the S13 diff's are the same, Tom Degregorio has one. I'm not sure if he want to part with it. I had it as a spare and included it with the car he bought. I doubt he will ever need it....
Tim,
Ok, since I can't be one of the cool Nissan guys anymore, I will have to think of a new name. Maybe TRFKA ITA240 (The Racer Formerly Known As ITA240) hehehe... See if you can identify my...
For an S13, 21 mm offset is about right.(15x7 inch size) Good luck finding them. Almost everything readily available is a 35-38 mm offset. That will need two of the cheap "Pep Boys" multi fit...
Richie,
Before you can tow anything that big, you would have to put the springs back under that thing to pick it back up off the ground. http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/redface.gif)

It's already sold. Still send any questions though. I might be able to help.

I started with 450/300(rear bar). Ended up with 550/350. No rear bar. Just personal preference I guess.
I never really noticed a problem. I used both a gauge and an adjustable lo pressure light. The light was set at 25 PSI and has NEVER flickered while at speed on the track. I don't think there is a...
