One other thing you might check is the block to cylinder heigth. I kept going though head gaskets , maching the head until i really checked the block to find out the cylinders were about .004 below...
Have you checked all the wiring harness for bare or frayed wires. What exactly is burnt? Does it run fine until it stops working? If it runs fine and happens under race conditions I would suspect...
This was a newer gearX final but I don't see the relation between a final drive and detent ball? There would be no reason to disassemble the shift forks were the detent balls are located to change...

Here is the problem, 5 speed tranny worked fine until I changed final drives from 4.25 to 4.9. We also put in new 1/2 and 3/4 forks, new syncro's on all gears. First time had problem going into...

Hey Greg keep posted on the schedule so I no what time I need to be there Saturday also on the enduro, was looking forward to running it. Do we have any ITA group counts as of yet? I hope we have a...
I have seen them both ways for the same year. I have a set of stock ones with INGALS adjustable ball joints if you are interested. New!
Check the block with a good straight edge. I had the same problem with and went through several head gaskets came to find out the cylinders were actually lower than the block deck. Blocks are easy...
