Jeff,
I'm having a deja vu......don't you own a ITS TR8???
I believe the rules state 8 mounting points for the cage. Look at the bulkhead photo - is the floor mount considered as one? Or two? As it appears that there are two additional mounting points at...
"Poster number 3" here Jake - Apologies for opening a can of worms, I was mis-informed about the rear disc - it wasn't my intention to stir things up.
Bowie, don't gouge you eyes out yet!
BTW -...
Bowie,
I vowed to prep the old girl to the limit of the rules to see how she'd do. I probably should have converted over the spec miata, however, the Honda did look all forlorn sitting in the...
Aaron,
I am reviving my old ITA civic Si from several years ago (have spent last 4 years in a spec Miata), so would be happy to share my experiences/contacts. The Civic is a little more stable...
"One of the arguments I saw someone bring up against the cars in ITR was "The SCCA already has a place for those cars, AS".
That is a weak argument......look at the miata, it can run in SM, ITA,...
Jeff, looks like the Revolutions might be a tad lardy:

Mark
Jeff,
What about Revolutions?
http://www.scp-uk.com/html/revolution_wheels.html (looks like official website is being revamped)
They fit Triumphs, are competition proven, but not sure on...
Jeff/Ron,
OK gents, let's review my choices for IT regarding Brit-iron:
ITR - nothing (what about classing an Aston??)
ITS - 73-79 JH roadster, 80-82 TR8 (you guys have cornered the market...
Is anyone running these on a CRX/Civic?? Looking for info on fitment and tyre sizes.
There are available in 41 mm and 35 mm offsets and ideally I'd like to avoid running a spacer. Obviously, the...
Do a search for SVT in "Ford Race Cars".
I've done some research. Would be a fun car, but would be unlikely to meet min. wt, or be able to wring anything North of 190 whp on stock cams. Brakes...
Jake, thanks for the info. I do know the NCR licensing chair, the one and only Peter Krause. I will discuss with him, should it get to that stage.
However, I *should* be able to make at least...
Nice thought Kirk......and it would please my wife no end to get rid of a stack of junk I have in and around my property!
License expiry next May, but haven't managed to get on track this year AT...
Hoop, I'm the guy with two integras. Project is on back burner for the immediate future, as just finished repairing Jeff's and my Spec miata , which incidently, is up for sale. Then need to install...
Ron,
You also would probably want to add a voltage regulator to 12V supply to camera.
Also, make sure the setup is fire and driveshaft proof!!!
Cheers, Mark
OK, thanks for clearing that one up Christian.
So which route did you decide to take?
Cheers, Mark
Unfortunately, you can't run one (assuming you're putting it on an IT car):
From GCR - "Dealer installed or limited production front/rear spoilers/air dams/wings are prohibited.
I know the chap that runs it - Mike Keena....he knows muchos about tuning Hondas. I actually didn't realise he did this until racerman50 told me in an earlier post. Sent Mike an email, hoping to...
Thanks for the info. guys, I will look into it further and weigh it up against just getting hold of a 92 or 93 car.
Apart from the ability to tune the OBD1 cars, and I assume extract a few more...
Kevin, I bought a clean 91, with a trashed motor (hydrolocked). It will be on the back burner for the moment, but want to start development soon.
Evan, as you mentioned, the update/backdate rule...
Well it didn't go into details in the ad, and I was too questioning the legality - the seller claimed to have set 2 track records in first year of racing....
anyway, thanks for the info. so...
I was browsing through GRM or maybe it was Sportscar and noticed a 91 CRX for sale that had Hondata ECU. I looked up Hondata website and didn't see any application for this car. Did I miss...
Hmmm....maybe Ron, however, the tires aren't small, and the car will be light by ITR stds.....I think a RWD ITR car at 3250 lbs is more likely to lose rubber early - but I could be wrong, usually am!...
Dave,
I agree, I think 200WHP is feasible. The numbers I originally posted were from stuff posted on the net for street cars which were not built to the hilt of the IT ruleset. However, an area...
Dave,
I have been considering it. I too have a spec miata to sell, and a ITA honda in mid-build, however, was thinking of buying one as a road car and doing a gradual build-up. The weight is...
