I'll be on a corner with Paul cheering you guys on! My goal of having a car back together by then just ain't happn'n. :-(
This is definitly going to be a new car with some old parts in it.
Thanks for the offer CCARVER, but I think I'll just get back in my whites and watch Barber from a corner this year.
What’s the general consensus on re-tubbing? I crunched my CRX at Road ATL in February. The tub is trashed.
I have a new shell, motor, tranny, suspension parts, etc. And I hope to start on the car...
I've always heard you need to cool both sides of the rotor to prevent warping. Is that just a myth?
GREAT RACE!
If I was just a little better at the "catch the crash" part, I'd have been able come over and play with you guys. This just became my "study tape", for sure!! Thanks for sharing...
Having recently slapped a wall (hard) at Road ATL with the driver's side of my CRX, I am looking into this for sure. My impact was nearly 100% lateral - didn't even crack the headlight - and hard...
Thanks. I guess I'm still learning how to do the FWD thing. Unfortunately, it looks like my car is a goner - the chassis is buckled in several places. I have located another shell and plan to swap as...
I'm in and really looking forward to it. I haven't been on track at RA since the last Solo I a hundred years ago or so. I've watched some great races from the worker stations, but it will be awesome...
I plan to be there working F&C... hoping the guy driving my car for the w/e doesn't do anything stupid!! (I'm looking forward to Road ATL the following weekend for my first outing of the season.)
...
I love working the corners - especially on a National w/e or a vintage race. These days - at least in the SEDiv - most host regions are paying enough to cover a hotel room for the weekend and...
Everything Ron said applies to a "factory" motor or a junk yard motor. If you want to build a competetive motor for IT, you need to do it.
Obviously trying to cover up the true OGRE you really are, huh Paul?

The Hankook contingency form says $H150 for the win with 3 starters. 200/100/50 for 4 starters and 400/300/200 for 5 starters.
OK... dumb noob question to follow....
How do Hankook and/or Kummo compare to Hoosier?
Email sent.
True. However, I have proven many times that a fast car still needs a fast driver!
I'm still working on that part. :eclipsee_steering:
smells ok from where I'm sittin'... :)
But I'm still the new kid on the block.
I thought it was aimed at us high-falutin' IT drivers!
When I get to work tomorrow, I'll forward it to you.
I'm sure it was an honest oversite. :D
Nice to meet you PMAZ7.
Where/what do you race?
I'm new to the IT world myself, but had a great time in my first couple of ITA races in the SEDiv.
The race is on as soon as the lead car sees the green flag.
+1 to Paul's post.
John is one heck of a driver!
Welcome John.
"Demented British Car Guys" - I think it's hereditary.
My dad always told me that all the MGs and Triumphs sitting on the side of the road were dropped from heaven as a gift. The first person that...
There are a few folks up here in Huntsville with scales. Surely someone in B'ham would be able to help - and save you some gas. good luck.
Now you've done it... a long stream of "my favorite Brit Car stories"! :-D
Brit Car Lesson #212: When cruising the country roads in your 67 Spit, always keep a water bottle in the boot. Otherwise...
