Get there as early as possible. Tech/sign in/get set up early. Take someone with you to crew...preferrably someone who has raced themselves. You'll want to concentrate on the school/race rather...
Fun car to drive? Yes. Competitive? Doubtful. Reason: an extra 200 lbs, low comp/EPA heads, sorry carbs. The only reason you can make competive power in the 240's are with the SU style carbs and...
RUN FORREST, RUN!!!!!!
DON'T DO IT.....ITS LIKE A DRUG THEY DON'T MAKE!!!!!
Looks good. The entire profile/cage construction reminds me of an ITC spitfire we built several years ago. It sure was cute but on its maiden voyage it slung a rod (with the piston attached) clean...
Much better...nice work.

Wish you could downsize the pics...
So color schemes...might I suggest BRG with a union jack covering the bonnet and boot?

Atlanta is a fairly large track and hilly so you could have several thousand spectators and it would still look emptespecially in light of how large some of the grandstands are (turn 10 for example)....
...the 911SC (thru 1983) or carrera's (thru 1989) in IT in the forseeable future? I know they only recently classified the earlier 911s/t's...was there alot of opposition to these cars? If so...how...
Raymond...I was truly impressed by the storming Audi's....hate that you encountered problems in the sprint race. It was slated to be the best race of the weekend.
Oh yeah...the Audi's sounded...
Speaking of Pombo, it was good to see this family back in the sport. Years ago, their dad, Pepe Pombo, was one of the most ....errrr...ahhhh...craetive rule interpreters around. The stuff of...
Well I'm in the deep south...too far to pick up a 1500$ car. http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/frown.gif
If I recall from my Nissan days there were several iterations of the 240SX and I'm not...
Wayne, I assume you're talking about a daily driver car...not a race car. I owned a non-T-top 84 300zx (non turbo) from 84-89. Absolutely reliable car...no trouble whatsoever in 150K miles. decent...
WOW...you need to put a big ol' eBay logo on it as an associate sponsor http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/wink.gif
Keep posting the development
Wow...that's alot of prep in a few short weeks. Looks good.
One of the great things about running in ITS, even in a car that may not be the most competitive, is there will always be a lot of cars...
In reference to the local bullrings a few observations from personal experience...I dabbled in driving in various classes: mini-stocks, IMCA modifieds, Legends (on asphalt) and a full tube late...
I'm assuming you're talking about driving and not just spectating.
If you're car doesn't have an SCCA logbook, by all means get it teched prior to going to the track...you don't want to be...
I ran a welded diff on my ITS 240Z for several years. Obviously not as good as a well set up LSD but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more affordable. Absolutely zero failures but then again I took it to a guy...
I know it's not IT, but there is a regional only class being run in the SE and maybey MW for "street" prepared C4 corvettes. I think they let them run at the AARC last year.
Anybody know who is...

Not trying to keep a young guy from pursuing his dream of racing, but you might want to try track events/hi performance...
Sure...so long as you used the same type/diameter, etc of tubing. Two things trouble me though...1) the rear braces not going to the floor and 2) the diagonal brace not going from the top of one...
If it's just a roll bar it's not legal for racing. IT requires a full cage. Dunno about SOLO I, tho'.
