In the car classification table to ITb it state fuel cell. I sure hope I'm wrong but I don't think so.
According to the GCRs you must install a fuel cell in a 320i. I know because I'm in the same perdicument. I'm going with the ATL well cell because it fits in the spare tire well.

The curb weight is 2480lbs. The GCRs state that weight needs to be 2510lbs.

I'm going off of memory but i recall 77-79 320i listed under IT (B) also. I would not have purchased the car and spent as much time and money on it as I have without checking into it first.
