According to the GCRs you must install a fuel cell in a 320i. I know because I'm in the same perdicument. I'm going with the ATL well cell because it fits in the spare tire well.

The curb weight is 2480lbs. The GCRs state that weight needs to be 2510lbs.

I do have a 2001 GCR and you are correct it tells me 2510#. I was a little confused because Car and Driver report from 1979 tells me that curb weight on the car is 2480#s. I just wasn't sure about...

I'm going off of memory but i recall 77-79 320i listed under IT (B) also. I would not have purchased the car and spent as much time and money on it as I have without checking into it first.
