Hello Kirk, Fred here continuing to lurk with economically clipped wings :(
No Vaugahn, the 944 NA is in permanent IT purgatory because it does not wear a Mazda badge on it's hood.....
Correct me if I am wrong but outside the bulkhead engine mount (easy to duplicate), oil tank holes and mount, ignition / steering, bolt on suspension, electric washer bottle, hand throttle, some...
I have not been told NO in a while now......
That, in my mind, is the answer to transparency. Each car should have a well defined, and published process that could include comments from the board as to how they determined it's final weight. No...
I think i agree that re-drill would be a no-no but everybody seems to think adaptors would be fine....... IMHO adaptors would be less "safe " than the redrill
BTW I submitted a rules request...
No, rear only. Mid engine car.
Another rules question while we are on a roll.....
So my door bars go into the door panel, i am allowed to gut the door short of outsdide handle etc.
Does this also include the vent widow as...
Or bump steer correction........
I have a few rules questions I want to throw out for feedback.....
1. Can I legally change the bolt pattern of my hubs via the use of spacers ( not saying that is a good idea, just asking )
...
Damn, my old revalved non adjust Bilsteins just plan suck.... But I will say I don't think I have ever lost a race to a car just because it had cans or extra shock knobs that most IT guys have no...
Jake
It is indeed the MAP sensor... Manifold pressure sensor and the particular unit used on 914's was developed just before color tv and just after man invented the light house....
Rebuilt...

Oh Jeff my man, no offense but I am not interested in that book as i have found the bible of 914 fuel injection! The good book can be found at www.sdsefi.com They have what basically amounts to a...

Ok, so I have been down this road before. I have once again left sanity at the door..... I found and purchased a donor 73 2.0 914, paid in full, before i could reconsider. With little rust at all I...
Anybody know what kind of weight you can get these cars down to?
I think I have found a car, does anybody know if any 914's are still out in the IT world?? Any tech savy guys out there that know D jet and how the new ECU rules help this ancient fuel injection??
kirk,,
i found it.......
FWD=(rear bar as big as you can get it)/more rear spring
WOOOOW, I was worried all those light weight 944's would stink up the ITA race........... Oh wait I mean the ITS race
Paul
I am working on fitting into my schedule, need to be in NYC the monday after so I just don't know right now. No driving, just sight seeing if I go.... What an event!
924guy, I am thinking you are getting a little aero help there too. Those other shoebox cars seem to die in 3rd gear.......
Anybody know of any solid 914 2.0's out there, in the southeastern half...
My guess is the 2.0 would make a decent B car, and even better with the looming ECU rules... Biggest hurddle I see is finding a 73-76 2.0 donor that does not look like it has been at the bottom of...
Are Dirt Stockers D.O.T. legal tires?????
