This whole 35mm/40mm thing has gotten a bit out of hand.
It's pretty well established that the info at the Quaife website is not only unclear, it's flat, outright, WRONG..... but people continue...
Not to bring this rather unpleasant thread back from the dead, but there is a ITA CRX "With SCCA log book" for sale in the classifieds section.
It is advertised as having "10 pounds liberated from...
From what I have heard, KAAZ is an option (maybe the only option) for 35mm cars. Even if you have a 40mm car, they ship the diff with spacers to accept the bigger bearings, which makes so much sense,...
Ooops. I see you're running ITC, so a 40mm bearing transmission is not going to be a legal upgrade. Hmmmmm.....
who's trying to sell you a japanese diff?
Sheesh! $250.00 for an LSD? I'd like to know about that!
I've done a lot of searching for just that, and think it's probably too good to be true. But, if you have any more details you can share,...
Excuse me for asking.... but why is it such a big deal to allow Miata's in spec MIATA??

I've been looking at using these in my next engine build. I know quite a few people use and recommend these, including the legendary David Vizard.....
Anyone have any comments based on actual...
OK, crap, I can hardly see the screen cause of the egg on my face.
I was looking at my 2001 Copy of the GCR.
I'll go looking for the online copy of 2005.
Thanks and have a great day!!!
PS...
I really hate to ask these things here, cause, well, you know....... but I did read the GCR/ITCS.
I want to adjust the fuel pressure on my car, a 1990 CRX. There are hoards of readily available...
Should I???
Seems like it's not commonly done.
Thanks!!

Is it acceptable to use chains for tie downs on one end of the car?
I have plenty of room to fit a conventional ratchet strap at the rear, direct from the trailer frame to factory tie-down hooks,...
Any recommendations or rules of thumb for tongue length?
I have built a 12 foot (10 ft. deck + 2 ft. beavertail) trailer, and built the tongue approximately 5 feet long.
I did a "weight and...
grega - Thanks for the advice. I'll crank that tongue weight right up to the max.
As for the trailer axle, I cleared my design criteria with dexter. It's a 3500 pound axle. If you want to get...
I am in the process of setting up my tow vehicle/trialer combination.
It consists of: a 1995 Chevy Caprice Wagon w/the LT1 motor, 260hp/330ft. lb. of torque.
I am building my own single axle...
1995 Chevy Caprice wagon.
Single axle open trailer just big (and heavy) enough for a CRX.
Under construction. The pictures worth a look, though:

Duh... found it. At Summitracing.
So, it's supoosed to fit 92-95 Civic. How well does it fit on the 88-91 Cars? Ground clearance OK?
Thanks (again),
Jon
A DC Sports 4-1 on a D16?
What fitment is listed? Ie, what do you have it on, and what is it supposed to be on?
J
You use B18C bearings in a D16A6? And they fit?
I take it you follow the factory color codes?
Jon
So, 2-3hp peak... assuming about 6k rpm.
What sort of gains, then, at 6500? 7000?
7500? http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif
Thanks,
Jon
Hracer....
What sort of results did the Pucket header give over the DC sports 4-2-1?
I have a DC sports header, I cut off the smallish outlet at the collector and welded on a 2-1/4" stainless...
Chris is right.
And you can get them from Quaife,
http://www.quaifeamerica.com
But, crap! They aren't on sale anymore. Sure wish I had the money when they were.
Jon
Richy's cage IS nice... can't say I care for the color http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif but nice, clean car. Good job, Richy.
My cage is pretty much the same from the main hoop...

You guys have so many cars, I can't keep track!
Jon
So, this is a small, light, stamped, pulley? Is it the same diameter of the "stock" pulley?
I guess it might be just as easy to get one machined to fit the car (and the rules).
