Chris - I found the same thing. Early 2.5 motors had much more gains from cat back and chip tuning then the new 170 motors.
I still think that the weight it would get is based on what Andy posted, but that could be subject to change by maybe 50# but not as much as your quoting.
As for reduction, I think your over...
Bolt on and chip mods look about 10-15%, full motor build could hit the majic 25% motor wise. Gearing and handling would be something to figure out. its mk4 mac struts but idependant rear...
I agree that it can make it light easilly. If its anything worse then the MK4 Jetta, the carpeting alone is stupid heavy. Get rid of the central locking system, the radio, air bags, seats with air...
Interesting thought, but at 3125 in ITB thats a tire pig.
Same here....mk2 and I replace my hubs ever off season along with Bearings.
Straightpipe still exists? Cool.
I carry 80# of weight and must top off the tank. I think ill have to add another 20# to the car with the new MARRS format with the longer Sunday races.
soonish?
Exactly. Since its digi just break the return line after the FPR and install the port. Since its a low pressure line it is better for samples then the high pressure line.
Digi can use the same setup the miata uses.
on the CIS injection there is no FI fule port. Its all banjo fittings.
So Jeff, what is your solution if SFI and FIA are not enough?
PS- Don't even suggest yet another standards instatution. You already have 2, what is your solution above and beyond the two that...
Meh, it is what it is.
Rob - I have a limited budget. I always have and probably will until I manage to find a way to significantly increase my income or reduce my costs of living. Both of which I been trying to do with...
Dave,
I have not been around long enough then. At least since 2003 I have never seen a race with a true split start using multiple pace cars. Only the situation of the pole sitter flagging...
Jeff, well good luck on that request for 4 split starts. Personally, I vote no. We managed last year with ITC, we can manage this year that we have more classes in the group. But hey that is how the...
Jeff, your funny. But I can gaurentee you that, we will not have split starts now that there are 4 classes in the ITB run group. Just like everyone else, you will have to deal with the starts. I...
Earl, Just keep laborday under a single sanction. The format, eh, I have read in enough times that ill think about it before I shell out my money. I am already missing M1 due to a friends wedding,...
Yes I am well aware of the NASA splits and they do a great job of it. The standing starts they have scare me as you have 2 more groups comming up the line if things going horribly bad. But WDCR has...
For you it was car count, for others it was the lack of time to fix their car after either the car count or an overlooked piece of prep (and maybe a few didnt prep at all) left them flailing to get...
I went back and checked, your right and my memory had me thinking spec7 was in another group. My bad for mixing that up, I guess having more going on then racing this winter, I thought that was a...
Gregg, it is just a change from the last groupings proposed. Which interesting enough for me to wonder why to go through all this trouble again. But opening up the 7's to run their own class plus A...
I just dont see the need to add sat afternoon of a 9 lap race (yes it will be 9 not 12 for all groups) which will just add more work to the cleanup crews and more work on the cars. I dont understand...
