Hi Matt - Is this the ex-Doug Smith ProIT championship winning car? Or the new car that was under construction at the time of his passing?
The first event in 2010 is later this month; take a look at the rules - the race length has changed for 2010.

Registration is on MotorsportsReg.com, not dlbracing.
I saw the flyer too - it lists more than a few non-compliant items. Easily correctable though....

Not sure if leaving the stub would be an issue, but considering that you'd also have to replace the raintray and that there may be other prod car modifications that get in the way, it may be less...
The event has officially been cancelled. http://www.scsportscar.com/modules/news/
and no Jean Todt at the pitwall.
Hopefully no pun intended....
You may have also noticed that some of the NASCAR refuelers add a chemical resistant apron. That could be helpful for adding a little more protection - not from fire, but from having the fuel soak...
There are some very good race seats for less than the price of a set of tires. Don't skimp on the seat.
His name escapes me now (senior moment) but there is an Opel racer in Columbia, SC who has many various Opels at his shop. I believe he's a CCR member.
Considering that the track is in the far northwest corner of the division and with increased travel expenses, AND being on Daddy Day weekend, I thought the turnout was good. I'll second the kudos on...
Thanks - I contact Clark.
Help! On Saturday 11/24, we received a CD of ARRC photos for SteeringWheel - Atlanta Region's newsletter. We have the CD, but unfortunately we discarded the package and do not have the...
Having been involved in nearly every enduro at Road Atlanta for the past 18 years, I can tell you that from a logistical standpoint, it would be difficult for us to staff a 10 hour club race. Even...
Perhaps we're longing for the "good old days" of IT when the class was first formed. A few big spenders had max-to-the-rules cars, some (including me) had marginally prepared cars, and most were...
If you mean show a white for last lap, that's not what the white flag is used for in SCCA Club Racing. The white flag has just one meaning - a slow moving racecar or a moving emergency vehicle is on...
I was the operating steward for the mixed group and, if memory serves me well, everyone played together with no problems even in the rain. It's a great event that deserves an even bigger turnout...
Mustang or Camaro? Nissan 240sx?
I would advise against using carriage bolts for any application in a racecar. Carriage bolts are designed for very light duty applications like lawn furniture or wooden hobby projects.

In my limited stewarding experience serving on an SOM, we don't change anything unless we receive a request from the Chief Steward and we're given a good reason.
With the exception of the schedule...
I suggest you read section 5.12.1.A.5. The IT-7 rules are part of the Supplementary Regulations and can be changed by the SOM. The rules for the Spec Miata hardtop, fuel and harness are part of the...
I was an Operating Steward last weekend at Roebling - the subject never came up among us, so I don't which official made that statement. It would be helpful to know so we can clarify that with said...
