It is true! Greg Amy does not heel/toe downshift. Never has...
Wow does that look tight. I was not at either event either, but boy it looks like an HPDE track and not a very good racing track.
Got it... I missed your prior posts. Sorry about that.
Clearly JS154 you know everything... So what is your recommendation?
I personally don't think 5.5% is enough difference between a FWD and RWD car with double wishbones.
I think we need a Miata multiplier! If Miata, then add an additional 3% to the calculation (or...
We all know Miata's are a fantastic car where the sum of its parts create a supurb racing platform. Isn't it going to be true that ANY multi-marquee class racing the miata will win all things being...
Guys - You are making it sound like I should only race and hate my child!
My current priority is my son. He is only 9 months old and until he gets older, can walk around easier, etc IMO its...
I could take the ITA miata approach to the situation.... :D
If you don't believe me build it and prove me wrong.
Yup Family is now the priority and I am no longer interesting in just driving rather looking for events that are so "good" that I would pass up time with the family to go to.
Yup and thats the issue... There are no dates sticking out at me. No additional things to pull me to an event. Just the same olde...
I don't care about any champrioship anything. I am looking for the most amount of track time at tracks that are good/cool and going to new tracks are a plus.
The Triple June 5th will be a ton of...
I was actually looking at the VIR schedule since this track is on my "must drive before I die list".
Now that the car is back up and operational I am looking at the calendar and is it just me or are there no events that stick and say I have to attend this one?
Qualified? Well that is a loose term....
Here is what I would say. They are volunteers who try very hard, have various backgrounds and are not neccessarily people who know how to run companies....
HOLY CRAP!!! Joe is alive!?
Ok Jake so remind me again how Cefalo was able to run so well at the ARRC with no prior experience there and no drafting buddies?
Bottom line Dan is the ITA Miata is THE car to build in ITA.
Andy how will I respond if I need to shut up <BIG GRIN>? :D:D
Dood... I was giving you a compliment on your driving and simply said that until you race at the big races you will forever be stuck...
Sure, but at some point Andy will need to man up and get to a big event to prove his abilities. We know he has them, but every year we hear another excuse! :)
I think I just vomited in my mouth Jeff! :D
Jake come on know... Don't you know that in NH they don't have such amentities?
LOL... I just sat in our new 4009HR and damn I need to loose that weight I gained as its damn snug!!! Last night I had to finally admit defeat and jump on the treadmill. :D:D
Ahh... The roundtable does not need to happen in person as the internet is much more fun.
So there are a lot of correct statements in all of these responses. Here they are in no perticular order....
At only a difference of 100 lbs between front and rear you are going to need a BIG SOLID bar with long arms to make that FWD car fly.
With Ben's heavy car I would think RA1 at full depth would quickly chunk and come apart. Better shave them and hope that it does not dry out too much...
