I don't heal toe on down shifts either. I feel I can brake much better and deeper then I can when I heel toe.

My old car looks great. I need to come up and check it out one night.
The 00-01 makes 217
02-03 makes 225
05-06 makes 237
and 07-08 makes 241
So you might be able to get it classed. I know the 00-02 is classed already.
It looks good in pictures. It has had a respray from some crash damage. It was fixed ok. These cars are getting cheap. You can get them for less the 10K for a 2.5L.
It came home with me from work today. I will be starting on the cage in a few days as soon as I remove all the BS that is it.

Thanks. Jake you will get a private tour. Can't wait to see how it does too. It did good at Roebling road its first time out. It was only a second and half of the track record and had handling...
I don't want to give to much away.
Well the ITB 914 is ready for the ARRC.
The 85-87 Civic/CRX should be x by 35%. It is very easy to get 105+ whp from those cars. I have built three of them that make that. It should also have the same tq as hp as well. It could stand a...
I have over 250# of lead in my ITB 914. That is beyond silly that is crazy.
I sent in a request a year ago. Waited and waited. Then I heard the change had been sent off to the CRB for approval. They sat on it for a few months. Now this. Am I happy No. It was worth the...
I would in no way even think of running in IT if I had to run an SIR. Go over to the GT board and see what goes on with an SIR. It is not as simple as bolting one in.

Apparently the GT guys are having problems with the CRB as well.
Be carefully about on track performance adjustments. Watch the Fastrac after the Runoffs. There will a bunch of letters asking for weight on the winning car or remove wait on this car. It sucks. ...
What size torsion bars does it have on the front?

I am selling my 6" wheels for the 914 and running the stock 5.5" wheels with 205/50/15 SM6 on it. If a SM can run 1:42 on them at Road A my car should be able to run 1:47 on them. So far the tire...
If this is an ITA car then the thinner gaskets are not legal. Just run the stock gasket or a Fel-Bro. But make sure it is not the recall gasket if you get one from Honda.
SSR makes a 15x6 wheel that is in the 9# range. In a 4x100 4x114 and 5x114. Some other people have asked to allow alternate bolt patterns for an easier choice of wheels. I know that it was turned...
There is a lot of HP potential in there. Most of it free. Aircooled cars are going to take cover IT.

It went very well. Left with a 2nd and 3rd. And only small items to fix.
Did all the work myself. Cage, trans rebuild, engine, header. I have not added it up but I would say just either side of 10K.
The wheels are 1980's vintage Jongbloed's. They use an 1.5" long...
If I make it this weekend it won't be on those wheels. One of the one off lug bolts just broke. Now I am trying to find something that will work which is not going to well.
We will see I have another exhaust ready for it if it doesn't.
At Roebling Road next weekend.
There is very little flex in the chassis now that is for sure.
It is almost done and ready for its first race next weekend. This has been a very difficult car to build. I am glad it is almost over.
