Bringing this back because I just had the same clutch failure last weekend. I'd post pictures but I'm at work. The clutch was replaced last November and had 720 track miles.

Could you give me his info? I swapped my cluster with the spare one and the coolant blinking light is gone.

I'm aware of the VSS issue, I guess I'll check the wiring diagram in the Bentley manual and bypass the cluster as you mentioned.

I just actually finished replacing the water pump and flushing the cooling system. I wanted to get rid of the pump with the plastic impeller that came with the car...

Today I spent the day removing sound deadening from the GTI. There is still some left, but most of it is gone. What tools do you normally use for this job?

I'm just curious to know what oil weight you're running. I'm thinking on using Mobil1 0W-40 VW approved.

Are they? Assume they are going to be run with longer lug bolts.

It is my understanding that I can only run 15"x6" wheels in my 95 Golf (ITB class). Is so, where did you get yours? All aftermarket wheels are at least 6.5" wide.

Do you guys have access to the MK3 Golf/GTI dimensional specs? Looks like I'll be picking up a '95 Golf Sport on Monday and I want to check that the chasis is square.
