I for one would rather see a ProIT race as "half time" entertainment at a pro event in place of something like the Ferrari Challenge snore fest that they had at NJMP during the GrandAm races. I think...
For what it's worth I played around with running an OBD0 distributor on my Civic and CRX in H5 trim. Same motor rules as IT but I could put on a different dizzy and ECU. I put a lot of time into it...
If you still have the stock key/ignition you can still turn the car off. On all my cars the switch has always been on the passenger side near the mirror. The only one that I put there was my current...
Three years ago I put together a group buy here and on a couple other boards and was able to get Jamie Houseman to make a batch of them for us. I think he made about six of them. I know where five of...
I went and as always it was a great weekend of racing. Had two really good races in H5. No one did anything too stupid in the race group I was out in. The Honda Challenge Kegger was really good this...
I'm running the same setup as Tom or I was up until the end of the season. I remove the swing axle/internal swaybar and replaced them with the left side axle stub. I also disconnected my rear 3/4"...
If all goes to plan I'll be at this event. My car has been sitting and I can't wait to take it out and race it, I need to get some new tires.
Dumbell plates from Sports Authority work wonders. They are cast out of cheap material and easy to drill. Make sure you use a good new bit for this project though and keep it going slow and well...
This is not always a good combination though, on my Civic, granted it was a 3rd gen, I would get all sorts of fatty lock up when I ran anything other then stock shoes. Nothing more unnerving then...
TurboEdit works great however it works on OBD0. Dave's car as well as mine are running pre OBD0 ECU's and the distributor is vacuum advance so we have no timing control. When I run my car in Honda...
Yes, on the 85-87 Civic/CRX it makes a huge difference. Some tracks it may not be needed but every track that I've run on it makes a big difference.
Diff wise, the Mugen is the only way to go,...
Dave, to be perfectly honest I am not sure how much I gained from doing this. When you and I were at the NASA event at WGI last spring the previous day I had dynoed the car and put down 105hp. I have...
The 86-87 teg ECU works but the car runs rich. With Honda Challenge I run a 91 Si dizzy and ECU but that isn't allowed in IT.
Rick,
I'm not sure if you're still looking but this fellow has a set.

Does anyone know the records for the above classes for the "pro course" configuration?
Thanks,

Keep the car, rent it out, make a couple bucks or just drive it once a year. Or become a HPDE/PDX instructor and not pay an entry fee. Either way don't get rid of the car if it's already paid for....
Now that sounds like fun. I'd go but it's the weekend before the NASA National and I've already spent too much money racing this year and I have at least 3 more events I would like to do this season.
Just out of curiousity why is it that SCCA only runs that one configuration? Other clubs run with a double infield which is a very fun configuration, well at least in a slow car it's fun. Other clubs...
It was a good event. NASA NE's first event with two run groups worked out quite well.NASA NE is really making their program work. Friday went really well. Saturday I would have liked to have seen...
Sadly it is not legal. I had the same issue with my old Civic, a DX body with a SI driveline, not legal so I didn't run it with SCCA.
Exactly what Andy said. However, there are events there the next two weekends as well. This coming Friday/Saturday with NASA NE and the following with NNJR.
I'll be at both with a running car...
Not only did Joe drift, he also did some rally. Woooooooooo Duke Boyin' it through the left hander.
What a disapointing day for myself. I got there, unloaded and everything was fine. Went to...
I was really hoping that I wouldn't need to bring rains, looks like i'll be bringing them too.
I had them in the old motor and I've got them in the new motor. I think the new motor is even faster then the old motor :D
