Back in the day we tried one of the 1.9 (i think) V6's in showroom stock. Popped several motors and gave up on it.
I agree with Kirk, there are easier avenues to pursue to be mid pack.

Yes, mine we tight as well. Tim from Westek was passing thru and stopped by MidOhio last year. He was nice enough to take a look at them and said it was normal. He did mention to try and coat the...

Hi Darin!
I haven't had any oil pressure problems, but the oil temp was a cause for concern. My oil temp pinned my 300 degree gauge at Mid Ohio last summer.
Some of the mods you have planned are beyond what is legal in IT. You may want to check out www.bimmerforums.com . There are lots of very helpful people over there that may be able to help you too....
I have unplugged the 5th gear sensor and the speedometer on my S14. No rev limiter, no speed limiter.
It runs fine without them sending a signal to the ECU.
I think the two models share the same...
bb,
On the S14, you unplug the 5th gear speed sensor and the speedometer to disable the speed limiter. There is a rev limiter at 5500rpm in 5th gear or a certain speed (which I don't know what it...

Chris,
As you mentioned most of those mods are not IT legal. Anyone who has done any of those things listed to their car certainly would not post it here. I know the "rule nerds" are watching...
Tristan,
I had a RR caliper start leaking too. I replaced the seals and it continued to leak, wound up replacing the caliper.
I use OEM type pads in the rear and have not had a problem. It...
I run a 95 in ITS. This is the first year for the car and it looks promising for the future. The DOHC motors are very durable (it's actually the hardbody truck motor), but could use a bit more...
Has anyone looked into this car for IT? I haven't seen it classed yet.
Whats the potential for a VR6 GTI?
1. After the airflow meter is open to modification.
2. The truechoice set up is fine. As long as the coilover collars are not permanently attached to the shock, it's ok.
3 & 4. Camber plates...

One option is to send your stock dampers to Truechoice in Hilliard (Columbus) Ohio. . They are very good at building Koni's for all levels of racing.
