On all the rx-7's that I know of that removed the air pump, the belt only slips if your still running the fan clutch. With an electric fan, you do not need the dual alternator pulley.

Both numbers are correct. The old number has superceded to the new number. The new one in the box is a "reman" (see the r at the end of the part number). Mazda is not carrying new water pumps...
