Everything is sold!
I have used the same method as above and it works but does take a bit of practice to get the right balance.
If it's a quick welding job I use wet cardboard but if it's going to take a while then a proper welding blanket is advised.
Just a follow up to my for sale parts. I have scrapped most everything I had. I do have some misc parts but no whole transaxles, none for sale anyway.
I have a couple of R&Ps but those are spoken...
I know I do! I started out with 10-11 of these trans axles. I am now down to 4-5speeds and 1-4 speed.
I may have a 5th gear housing already off one of the scrapped trans housings.
As I have...
What part of the injection system is controlled by mega squirt? CIS cars have to retain the stock CIS injectors to be legal for IT. You can't change to later model electronic injectors.
You have to...
First race car I used a Wink. I liked it fine. Fpr my current car I bought one and it just didn't work for me. I found a convex one and mounted it to the stock mount and it works great.
I agree!
I have come into possession of multiple 020 transaxles and misc. parts. I don't need all this stuff and I don't want to throw/scrap anything someone else could use.I have just about all of the...
Same here! I hope my machine shop has my stuff done, he said he would by the end of this week or early next. I also have to get my transaxle back together. I changed the R&P rivets to APR nuts &...
When I have instructed I usually tell my student that's what's going to happen as part of my introduction. Sensory overload is what I call it. Once you figure out the racing line and dealing with...
I'll try to look you up Sat. morning.
Is the car going to be ready by April 5th? That's when both MCSCC and BHV SCCA Reg. have an annual tech day and medical at Advanced Autosports open house in Beloit, WI.
I plan on attending so as...
That is a nice looking Fiesta. Where did you find it?
Since you plan on racing it with MCSCC I just want to let you know if you don't already but there are a number of people that have raced...
I just looked at the SCCA web site at the ITR rules and it says only 89-93 Mustang GT and LX Mustangs. There is no mention of hatchback vrs notch. Both cane with 5.0 v8s and all suspension & drive...
Mustangs were available with the HO 5.0 in the notch. I owned a 1992. The suspension & drivetrain were the same as the GT, only the body and trim were different.
To run ITB you would have to use...
I have an OMP Grip. Lightweight, FIA cert. easy to get in and out. and the price was resonable.
I believe your limited to 15 X 6 inch wheels. There's not much out there in that size and the offset you need. I did have a friend race a Mustang in ITB for a few years. Plenty of stock wheels...
I don't think you would need another line. While the front and rear did get a restyle in 1998 the bodies stayed the same, only the bumper caps, hoods, trunk, headlights changed. As for brakes &...
While Illinois has problems one thing it does have is easy trailer licensing. I have a 16 ft open trailer and it costs me $18 a year. Done! No inspection, no insurance.
Since I own a SVT Contour I know that the 25% factor will be hard to meet. Ford did a good job in getting 200 HP out of the 2.5L V-6. The only area where you can make a major improvement is in the...
I think the Contour SVT in is ITR where it is considered uncompetitive. There was a discussion on this a few months ago. Do a search and you should find it.
With all the hoses, wires, intake boot, and all I can't even see the port on the bell housing to see the flywheel to see the timing marks.
I think I will try to find TDC on #1 cylinder by...
I just got my race cars engine running after not having been run for over 4 years. It started right up too. It's a 1.8L 16V.
Now I have the timing close since it started with little problem but...
Besides those already mentioned here are some that I've found:
