Does anybody know if the MkIV Jetta is in the pipeline for classification? They seem to be way easier to source from the wreckers and insurance yards.

There's no way you'll get a Mk4 down to 2350 so its a moot point anyway.
Tell me about it! The rust up here on the MK3's is terrible. I used to work at an independant VW shop and at the time we thought it was just the first couple years, but the more we saw of later...
Here's a question for ya. Where are all the 94 GTI's hiding out??? I'm having a hell of a time tracking one down!!
If anybody knows where a good example (95 Golf sport as well), I am definitly...
BIG Congrats to Derek and Colin, representing NS and AMP in a big way!!!

I was being sarcastic.
I'd seriously consider swapping our full load Sunbelt M54 WC motors for these 235whp M50's you guys are talking about....Someone needs to recalibrate their dyno.
My JH solid lifter engine in my 87 scirocco, same as the 84 GTI dynoed at 105hp last year. They are advertised as stock 90hp. Unfortunatley I attempted to stretch it a bit when I pancaked the wall...
I blew out the BSI bolt ins in a season. They are a great design, just not beefy enough for our track, which probably resembles the smoothness of your grass down south! I ended up inheriting a set...
Hehe, ok I'll add my setup because its a little different, on the front anyway. I run 3.25 neg on the LF and 2.25 neg on the RF. I run zero toe. The car wants to track a lot I find on straights...
Or if you're really lucky the recovery truck driver will be nice enough to dispose of your wrecked car right on the dolly for ya!
Don't ask me how I know this....

Thats what I was looking for, thanks Bill. I have a p/n now so I'm going to look into it. For some reason, I'm stuck on Bilsteins. They were a little over worked on the race car, but the threaded...
Andrew,
Altrom brand vented rotors are the ticket! $10 each and I put 3 weekends on my last set, compared to one with he Brembos. I will NOT be going back to Brembo, I was tearing the finish off...
What amazes me is that you would choose to belittle me for asking a question about something I don't fully have a grasp on. The only crap being spread here is in your popintless reply. You didn't...

Well, its winter bench racing time, and I'm in the market for some new shocks. I've been running the Bilstein Sports for 3 seasons, replaced one set on the front, original on the rear, stock...
Yeah I still check the plugs as well, and my fuel gauge is a good indication of mixture too lol! I like the egt for extended full throttle runs like on the back straight or whatever. I found that...
Have any of you guys tried tuning with an EGT gauge? I 'm still trying to figure out exactly what temp i sgetting a bit too lean. I've heard of FI cars running up to 1400F or slightl more. But i...
I tried to find some info last year about turbocharging my sidedraft webers. It can work, they did it a lot in the 'old days' http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

The local wabbit in our area runs #500 front and #350 rear. HTH

So just for comparison sake, who is the NA dealer for the VWMS diffs? I would like to have a peak at them and read some information about how they work.

Well, I'm definitly looking into this as an option for next season, especially since my welded diff tranny grenaded, while I was loading it up on thursday night for our race weekend. Mind you I put...
Ok just a little update, and then I'll put my flame suit on and get ready for the barrage. http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif
