Totally with Andy on this one. In IT7, I don't think that "engine" cheating is all that pervasive. As hard as it may be to "put up, or shut up", that's what it takes. Until then it is all...

Holysmokes Batman, someone has way to much time on they're hands.
Hmmm, I think I JUST MIGHT DO THAT IN 05. Not that I'm tired of IT7, and I'll keep being involved as a crewperson/maybe even as a Co-driver.
Still, that is my plan for 05. Take an ill prepared...
My perception on the origin of IT7 in CenDiv was that we were tired of the Hundas. They were either A:miss classed, B: superior chassis/engine that responds better to ITA mods, or C: miss classed....
True, my point in qouting "Hotshoe", was that he made it sound as if IT7 was ONLY a SeDiv class. I just wanted to point out that it just isn't so.

Oh wait a minute, we also run IT7 here in Cendiv. While I personnly don't have a dog in this fight, (hoping to run a converted IT7 in EP), several of my friends do. We figure to run up front, you...
Nice pics. Is that a University of Michigan decal on the back glass?
Thanks John, I'll give them a call either Firday or Monday. Walled Lake is in "our" back yard.
Oh, I am aware of this, and I agree. Still, I "prefer" to support local businesses when possible.
We are located "generally" in the Detroit Mi. area. Sorry, should have posted that first. Thanks for the leads, I'll start researching. And if someone knows of something closer, even better yet.
Anyone know of a good rebuilder for IT/SM heads. Looking for someone to send a customer's head to.
Thanks,

Scary moment for you there. Glad things didn't happen in a "worse" way.
Know what ya mean about them Cracker Barrels. On a recent week road trip, we ate luch at one at least 9 times. Didn't try...
I agree, it's a great local solution. BUT, what to do about the underlying problem? Do we move the 12A 1st gen to iTB, or, do we petition the SCCA to reconize IT7 as a class for all 12A rotories as...

Okay, good question there. As a former racer, soon to be current racer at WHRRI, where we do reconize IT-7, I just had this discussion with a fellow IT-7 racer.
What do we do if the SCCA...
It's part of the emissions system. Lose it.
FWIW. Been out of a racecar for two years now. I definetly plan in being in one next year. I plan on having some sort of H&N restraint.
I will probably being doing Co-drivers races, or if we do...
HIjack-sortof. Just out of curiosity, which former WHRRI RX-7 guy are you refering to?
What Bret said. Come on out and talk to people. Bruce Wentzel races an IT7 and ITS Rx7 out there competetively. If you catch him when he's not thrashing or getting ready to go, he'll chat with you....
Suspension!!! IMHO, get ahold of Jim Susko at GForce engineering.
As to carburation, check out Yaw's site. Lot's of good info there. Yaw does sell a good-legal- product. However, I still have...
I'm late to the game, but my vote is with Jake. Notorios for funking handling, and easy to overlook.
I myself have never seen this kind of failure on an IT car. Nor on the GT-2 1st gen that races at WHRRI. Broken spindles, now that's another story altogether.
Bouncing off kerbs, old age?, previous owner abuse are three reasons that come to mind that could bend an axle housing.
Non-members of WHRRI can race at member rates for the July 24-25 race weekend. Normal non-member rates are $210 while member rates are $135. WHRRI reconizes the following competition licenses.

Oh really. Then Jim has redisigned the mounting of his kit. Not to mention his "philosophy"(sc). Course, it's been since "02" since I've personelly dealt with his stuff.
