Never had a customer want an ITA engine built AND dynoed. Extrapolating from Pro7 engines I'd guess about 155-160 (maybe 165?) at the flywheel.
Wish I could tell you, but I have never had one on a chassis dyno.
Btw - if any of you have never seen Rotary headers on a dyno at 1700+ degrees you ought to love one of the movies I have on my website --

Jim - Well, yeah, sorta, sometimes --
I didn't say I LIKED running them that high.
Probe placement also changes the temp range - I put them 12-18" from the motor. Any closer and I burn a lot of...
Thank you -- it's been a very busy year so far.
Are you going to the Sprints ?? Watching? Driving?

It is basically for keeping the lever from making noise as far as we have ever known. In "most" of the street cars we see, it's already broken - with no problems.
For racing: CUT/GRIND whatever to...
(Haven't had time to look at this board is a while -- )
The dual Westech gauges only go to 1700, and I sometimes run my engines at 1725-1750. I had a batch of dual gauges "custom" made for us that...

Work has now resumed on it, but it sat for the last year while I went off Pro7 racing (and also ran the same Pro7...
Partial answer: No, you can not swap side housings and make it into a 4-port (I already asked them if we could).
Carb vs Injection: call back much later.
Just about everyone I have talked with...
Engine dyno is $500/day.
Sounds expensive, but more changes can be done in one day than 4-10 race weekends.
Every one I do, I think about doubling the price when I look at how long it really...
"Tuning" --
I have not done full dyno testing on an ITA engine (nobody ever wanted to pay for dyno time) -- so I can only "point" you in the direction we saw with the Pro7 engines (NO header, just...
What class, engine, mods, exhaust do you have?
Never looked into any way to "measure" it. My guess was more required timing = less efficient combustion, which we then attributed to the shape and irregularities of the pockets on the 83-85 rotors....
Having never been in a position ($$) to just assemble and dyno ANY engines to "see what they do", we tried to learn as much as possible, as soon as possible, early in the Pro7 program. (Had never...
In most of the Pro7 engines we have built we are using the heavier 79-82 rotors. We like the shape, and consistancy, of the pocket in them better than the 83-85's (*NOT fully tested yet). The power...
The 12A "hardened" gears ARE stock parts that have then been heat treated. They (heat treated gears) did not ever come in stock production 12A engines.
Thought I would post another one, both for the Rotary guys, and those who still have not "seen the light" and still race pistons.
Doing the 7 or 8 Pro7 engines this year, and having spent a LOT of...
A few opening statements:
1) Guess how many IT engines we have built in the last 10 years or so ???
Answer: None, zero, zip, nada.
Why?? -- just cost I guess. Since I have never been...
