I think Panasport still makes, uh, I think they're called "Mini Lites", in 13x7. I'm not sure though. Our cars came with them and we haven't yet had to buy new ones.
I'm certainly aiming to be there, but you never know. If I'm there, I'll be (one of) the guy(s) getting the award presentation photos for Steeringwheel. Clark McInnis is the other likely photog.
Better yet, replace our fire extinguishers with small kegs! :D
Just to clarify, this is purely about how the results are correlated on MyLaps.com ... the regions get your xpdr number for each event so your results at the track aren't affected by this issue.
...
I'm with you. The reason I sold the one in my old car was that the new car had one already hardwired into it. Plus the old car went to a newby starting up, so they needed all the "bits and bobs"...
I think we might want to send this up the flagpole at SCCA HQ ... it seems like it really undermines the usefulness of MyLaps.com. Maybe someone "up there" would be interested enough to take it up...
I'll be interested to see what comes of this. I've got a car I need to "unregister" from my ownership on MyLaps.com because we've sold the car. I couldn't find a way to do that, either.
Personally, I'd prefer a "regular" qualifying session. Mainly because it's a bit unusual for everyone to be out at the same time for qualifying, at least after the first few laps. That makes it...
Since you're coming from the north, you'll most likely want to take the exit for Georgia 153 (Exit #129) and go right at the top of the ramp. The track is about three miles down on the left. You'll...
No corner worker would call you in after that! :happy204:
Am I the only one that's, um, disturbed by the COA case referenced as William Emery vs. SOM (08-17-NE)?
Mr. Emery admitted that he continued around the course and came upon red flags at several...
OK, I'll start by saying that I work corners a lot. More than I race. The radio or landline net will tell the corners when the green flies and they should drop their yellows. I can't imagine a...
Not really the same, but I found McNish's radio transmissions about tell them to get the blue flags out at the end of the Petit le Mans to be pretty mealy mouthed. Maybe someone needs to remind Alan...
I can't answer your questions directly because I don't know enough about the technical details of the SFI process for suits or certification, or the polymers involved (beyond what we've all read...
We were planning to go, and Righty still might, but I'll be winging my way to a week's vacation in sunny Plovdiv, Bulgaria. :D
We love CMP and have turned a lot of laps there, racing and doing driver's ed. They're almost done with a reconfiguration that should make the second half of the course flow a lot better. Can't...
{soapbox}If the CSS specified stuff in relative units instead of absolute ones, it wouldn't be a problem. Specifying a font size of 11px (eleven pixels) is double plus ungood because you have no...
Dude, count on it. Any SCCA F+C worker who's been on corners more than a weekend or two has a knife or shears that will take care of your harnesses. With some of the workers, you better be moving...
OK, so this is only indirectly related to racing, but, well, just how small and light could you make a rechargeable battery pack with 6 amp-hour capacity?
Stone him. :D
Maybe get some Monty Python's Holy Grail type costumes from a rental shop. :023:
Lawyers and insurance companies, and their lawyers ... oh and don't forget the judges
I also both work and drive. Actually, I work more weekends than I drive most years, but that's not saying much as I usually only drive two to four events a year.
I agree that National shouldn't...
I'm seriously considering just dropping back to DEs.
I don't know first hand, but I've been told that you don't want to have to clean up after setting off an AFFF system, either.
